The Global Pound Conference event for West, Central and East Africa, Lagos, 30 iunie 2016
At 8:30 a.m. on June, 30, 2006, is organised the Global Pound Conference in Lagos, Nigeria, jointly hosted by NCMG International and the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
This conference is part of a global series of meetings that are taking place around the world in 2016-17 to discuss how to improve access to justice and commercial dispute resolution in the 21st Century. You can find more information about the GPC Series on its website at www.globalpoundconference.org.
The conference will be looking at all forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, conciliation, mediation, and mixed modes of combining appropriate dispute resolution processes.
For this regional African event, the main theme is : „Access to Justice & the Future of Dispute Resolution”
The GPC Series is based on the original Pound Conference that was held in the USA in 1976. It had a profound impact on many other legal systems throughout the world. The ambition of this GPC Series is to help improve the culture and choices for resolving conflicts in commercial disputes, to better respond to disputants’ needs and objectives. It is being organised in 40 cities across 31 countries as part of an unprecedented attempt to engage all key stakeholders involved in commercial dispute resolution to participate in a modern conversation and collect actionable data about current dispute resolution options and how the supply and demand side of the commercial disputes industry can be better aligned.
This unique event should be of tremendous value to your organisation, not only for learning about new trends in dispute resolution, and how to achieve faster, cheaper and better outcomes, but also as an opportunity to become involved in a domestic and international discussion that can shape global commercial dispute resolution as a whole.
